Client Experience

Step 1 – Get Acquainted Meeting

After an introductory phone chat, we’ll schedule a complimentary Get Acquainted meeting. Complete a Discovery Questionnaire prior to our meeting.  We’ll meet at the office or via Zoom for 60-75 minutes and talk about your goals, dreams and what’s top of mind.  This is an opportunity to get to know each other and determine if we are a good fit for moving forward.  No pressure, just a conversation.  We will explain how our services can assist you with your goals and provide a fee estimate

Step 2 – Data Gathering

Once we decide to work together, we will provide a list of documents needed to prepare your custom financial plan and/or retirement coaching, including some questionnaires. This is your homework.  As soon as you upload the requested documents, we’ll get started in designing your plan.

Step 3 – Plan Preparation & Analysis

This is the design and strategy phase.  During this time we’ll be analyzing the information you provided and asking questions to fully understand your situation.  If we need to clarify something we will reach out to you. We will also develop strategies and options for you to consider during our plan presentation meetings.

Step 4 – Plan Presentation Meetings with Action Plan

We will schedule one or more meetings to review your financial plan with you. If you have also selected retirement coaching, these workshops or one-on-one meetings will be scheduled separately. Client deliverables include detailed financial and retirement coaching Action Plans, financial summaries, and client education articles.  We’ll discuss your options and determine the final steps forward as we consider meaningful context and the plan recommendations. Your greatest take-away is peace of mind and a clear path forward on your next steps.

Step 5 – Plan Presentation Follow-Up

It takes time to process all that we discussed during our meetings and to begin implementation. We always welcome emails.

If we haven’t heard from you for a while, we’ll follow up with you by email approximately 30 days after the final plan presentation meeting to see whether you have any questions as you begin implementing your Action Plans. If you need detailed instructions or if important changes have taken place since the plan was developed, we can always schedule additional one-time implementation meetings or create a regular check-in schedule.

Step 6 – Check-Ins & Annual Updates

At your request, we’ll meet whenever needed or annually, after the initial plan has been designed. Since financial and retirement planning are ongoing processes, it’s important to adjust your plans to life’s changes. Reviewing your goals, portfolio, and expenses, along with life changes, is highly recommended to ensure you live the best retirement possible. We’ll save space for you on the calendar for an annual update each year, which you can always reschedule at any time. Plan updates are considered a new engagement.
